A Trip to Paris
I went to the Louvre and Mussee D'Orsay in Paris last August. I didn't bother taking a lot of pictures in museums, since there are millions of pictures taken there weekly. I wanted to actually see these paintings and sculptures up close, which proved difficult in some cases. It was amazing seeing the master works in person. We spent a lot more time in the less visited sections like Egypt and ancient Asia. The D'orsay was amazing and full of works by van Gogh, Cezzanne and other Impressionists, and we went to see some Rodin sculptures. Paris in the 1920's must have been something else. Now it's jam packed full of tourists and is a little too busy for my taste.
Gina Lollobrigida
Gina Lollobrigida is an Italian actress and sculptor who was active in both from 1946 until recently. She won many awards as an actress and starred in movies with Frank Sinatra, Humphrey Bogart, Errol Flynn, Rock Hudson and many others. She is not nearly as well known for her sculptures, but I think she's fascinating.
